The Pita Place is a family-owned Mediterranean restaurant located in Williamsville, NY. The owner, Elie discovered his culinary talent at a very young age while working alongside the women in his family. It has long been a dream of Elie to share the traditional food of his country Lebanon with his customers. As a big lover of Mediterranean food, this was a project came with more excitement than usual.
Concept & Design
The Pita place was after a contemporary brand that represented their passion for food and commitment to bringing healthy Mediterranean options to Buffalo. I chose to go with a handwritten typography to give the logo a natural feel and designed a leaf to conceptualize the freshness and herbaceous qualities of the cuisine. Another way I brought this concept to life was going with an optional duo-tone color palette. Mediterranean is bright and colorful, and I wanted that to be mirrored in the design. was by bring color to this design.
Brand Applications
With the new direction, we were able to create an online presence, as well as a new store front logo, menus, marketing materials and more. Elie proudly stands behind the brand and continues to exude the passion and commitment to healthy food that it represents. It was important for him to have a brand the restaurant could stand behind, especially during the pandemic when local restaurants began to shift to mainly online orders. We collaborated to have the website built as quickly as possible to help the business stay afloat during their hardest times. I’m happy to see them still operating and to help on their path to success.
