The owner came to me in need of branding work and marketing materials as the company was just getting its feet off the ground. Concept & Design For Childhood Behavior Solutions, the central concept behind the branding and marketing materials was to evoke a sense of harmony, growth, and nurturing. As a company dedicated to fostering positive behavior and creating a supportive home environment, it was essential to communicate these values through every aspect of the design. The logo was crafted to symbolize the bond between parent and child, with gentle, lines forming an embracing silhouette. They have been one of my longest running clients and always bring exciting opportunities to the table as they lead development projects in the area. For this particular project, Cedarland was looking to create one of Buffalo's first luxury apartment buildings aimed at students for the University of Buffalo's downtown campus and medical workers. It's always exciting hearing that your work is going to be featured on the side of and throughout a building downtown. I worked there for five years in the creative services department where I lead design in various Buffalo News publications (Buffalo Magazine, Buffalo Bridal Planner, etc.), designed advertisements, as well as designed collateral for our in-house print shop servicing local companies. My Work There Although print design has become dated over the years, my work at the Buffalo News left me with a foundation of design knowledge that I still tap in to today. I learned a ton about typography, information hierarchy, color theory, and how to meet expectations and deadlines.
